Forms node

The Forms node lets you connect directly to Google Forms or Microsoft Forms to pull in form structures and responses — perfect for turning surveys, quizzes, or polls into live datasets for analysis.

Whether you’re collecting customer feedback or running internal assessments, the Forms node gives you instant access to clean, structured results in your flows.

What can it do?

  • Connect to Google Forms or Microsoft Forms
  • Automatically fetch form questions and responses
  • Structure results as datasets you can analyze, filter, or visualize
  • Keep data in sync as responses update over time

How to use it

  1. Add a Forms node to your flow.
  2. Choose your platform: Google or Microsoft
  3. Provide:
    • Access token: This is granted by logging in and authorizing access (we never see your password).
    • Form ID: The unique ID of the form you want to connect.
  4. Datastripes will fetch the structure and latest responses.
  5. Connect the output to downstream nodes or dashboards.

✅ Form metadata (questions, types, sections) and responses are automatically cleaned and normalized.

Example use cases

  • Analyze feedback from a customer satisfaction survey
  • Visualize answers to internal team pulse checks
  • Track registrations, votes, or submissions in real-time
  • Combine form data with other sources like BigQuery or files

Tips

  • You only need to grant access once — tokens are securely encrypted.
  • Use the form’s share URL to locate its ID (look for the long string in the URL).
  • You can connect multiple forms by using multiple Forms nodes.
  • All data stays private and within your user scope.

Security

  • Tokens are encrypted and never stored in plaintext
  • Your credentials are not shared and remain scoped to your user
  • Data pulled from forms is stored locally in your workspace
  • No form is modified — the node only reads data

Turn feedback into action — plug in a form and see the answers come alive.
